Hi Paul. Thanks for the encouragement. I talked to the recruiters office today and she wrote them a very positive letter. I just can't believe the support their is from everyone. Reminds me very much of the fire service I'm involved in. Recruiter said not to worry she did great in her PT before she went and will be fine. Kind of stupid, her parents need reassurance of those things. Better get back to the crops. Thanks again for the kind words.

Stay tough Gregg- our sailors will go through a lot of emotional swings during boot...and a fair amount will have some injuries as well. My daughter had a series of stress fractures and shin splints that put here a few weeks back from her "normal" PIR date....but she made it...as will your sailor! Write and be supportive! Paul

Wow, I was told the second letter they would sound down and it did. Although I was encouraged that she was determined to work hard. She hurt her knee and that got her down. She says its better but didn't want to fall behind. Kinda of hard not to worry about them isn't it. Nice to have this forum.

I had a call from Kat as (she flew from Hawaii to Vegas) she was playing tourist before returning to Everett....to make a long story short, she was visiting San Francisco for a day while on her way back to Washington. She commented that over the last two months she been in Dubai, Thailand, Hawaii, Las Vegas, Yosemite, and now San Francisco…….join the Navy and see the world!!!!!!

HooYah Craig-- you're on your way to having a Navy squad in the family!! I just think it's so impressive that we have such young people in this country that are willing to stand up and do whatever is asked of them for very little recognition or appreciation. Those of us that have two or more sailors in the family have that much more to be proud of and to brag about!!
