My son just left his recruiters office for probably the last time. He informed me that we wont have him around next Monday as he has to go back to MEPS that morning to sign his corrected paperwork. After that they're keeping him until they fly him out to GL on Tuesday morning. Boy when things start happening they happen FAST!

We are Having Alyssa's Anchors Aweigh Party this weekend.  Lots of family and friends and a HUGE fireworks display.  She leaves the following weekend.  We sure will miss her!

My 2nd sailor has a shio date of the 6th Jesse. Sounds as though our sons will be there at the same time. Maybe we can neet up at P.I.R. and introduce ourselves. I'll be the guy in a Navy blue "navydads.com" shirt.

My son signed his contract as an HM in May and his Boot camp starts in November..Just recently his Recruter called him and asked if he wanted to come and take a nuke test..It was scheduled for last week but for some reason was cancelled. I dont know if it will be rescheduled or not..I found out things can change in a moment.

yes Wilfredo we had a similiar issue a year ago our son was also HM and he had a hard time getting his slot     but be patient it will come

My son went back to MEPS yesterday to sign up for the DEP and they only had NUKE available.  So I guess he goes back next week.  He wants to be HM.  Anyone else have this same problem?

My Son Collin signed his enlistment contract today as an AO and has a ship out date of 04 August 2011.
