I posted thru my sons weeks at FMTB,extended by an injury he had...and find it amazing there seems to be so little interest in this school and what they learn . I confess I'm also a former Marine,…Continue

Just received word from my son who will complete corpsman school in August he will be sent to FMTB
We will be, our son graduates as well then. Where is everyone staying? I need to make some hotel reservations.
Headed to FMTB west graduation March 22. Does anybody have any advice and/or will anyone in this group be there?
Glad I could help a little , as parents we never stand down 100%
but you are so right "their doing what they love" Ask him for some
pictures of his time in school , youll see a great change I'm sure.
Shout anytime, we hold the rope for our kids 24-7

Thank you Randall, you are right about that, it is hard to have him so far away, still I guess I shouldn´t complain, for he is doing what he wants to do. Funny, here I was worrying and staying awake to try and catch him on skype, well that paid off, because he had gotten my messages and called me to tell me, he had slept well and was a little better, plus he told me to not worry, that he is indeed a corpsman :} also I understand that there are reasons for not being seen, for they have to prioritize the urgency. So as you said, there is no reason I should worry, and I want to thank you for clearing on what would possibly happen with the training, if he was ill. Thank you for reassuring me that they are well taken care off. Now I am a little ashamed of being so whiny, not very Marine like :} This has for sure relieved me of my worries, ... for the time being :} ha ha I had to add that.
Thanks again, very much and I hope you are having a great day as well, I am thankful for people like you, who cares about other people and for the knowledge you have !
Not worried mom :}

Happy Mothers Day Finna......Hard day to have a Sailor not feeling
good.
Ted had med problems during FMTB and all worked out well, dont forget
he is IN a medical group. The instructors are top notch and see more
than most know.I'm sure he will get looked at and if trouble comes
they will take care of him 100%
They move to next group back if they are dropped for med reasons
and continue on........and in some ways the direction change will
add knowledge to their time in FMTB.
He told his girlfriend but not his Mom, sounds like a fine young man
that loves his Mom a great deal..he will be fine
We only hear of what they send and their is much we dont know but
they are a very special.
Always send words from home it can be great meds and any day is
better with a letter or message.
I hope this is of help, if he moves to another group he will do fine
and he will get thru either way and be a fine Corpsman in the end
for the problem
Have a good Mothers Day...try not to worry.. he's half Marine now

You are right is never wrong to brag about our sons and daughters, they are really something to be very proud of . Still I wonder what happens when they get sick in FMTB, and run down with fever and all the flue like stuff, Steindor got very sick, a couple of days ago, but is not going to be seen until wednesday, and has been doing all tasks they have had, PT, running, martial arts and all. Looks like he is on his own, when it comes to that, and I know he doesnt want to miss any tests or anything thats going on, so he drives himself forward. Still think it must be awful to be in that condition and trying to do his best. Are they not looking out for them, so it wont get any worse, or spread among everyone. It sounds crazy to me,not to have him checked. I still havent been able to reach him, for he has not contacted me since before he got sick. I heard about him being sick from his girlfriend. I am just wondering if they get dropped from the training, when that happens, since he is afraid of missing out on things. I would really appreciate if anyone knows, and Randall, it looks like you are the only one in this group, I am hoping you can shed some light on this. Looks like when there are so many, that its easy to pick up a bug.
I hope you are having a great weekend and that everyone is well .
