I posted thru my sons weeks at FMTB,extended by an injury he had...and find it amazing
there seems to be so little interest in this school and what they learn .
I confess I'm also a former Marine, so you see Our Corpsman are one of the most important
parts of the Corps.
You add to that being your son or daughter and you should take notice and show an interest
in a school that is so important for their time not only in the Navy but for the rest of their
lives.
Maybe those going to the school play it down to those at home? or think going in-- its just
a short school to get thru?
If your son or daughter is going to this school or is in it................take the time to ask
questions and give them a boast as they go thu..............
Remember We as parents always hold the rope on this end..................

Randy, I admit after basic training I really have not been on here. My son has had a hard time getting through this training. He was rolled back due to an injury. However, I am glad to say this is his last week of training and he will graduate on March 22nd. We could not be more proud. I found that there really isn't much on here about this school, place and training. Not a lot of conversations, so basically I just stopped logging in. We could not be more proud of our son. His father and I have spent a lot of time on the phone with him. When he got held up it devastated him that his buddies that he had been in basic, to A school then on to FMTB went on without him. But he will tell you he grew from that experience as well. I would love to hear more about it from anyone. My son hasn't given us a lot of details. I wish we could of had some photos from training too. It is very difficult, we just are amazed at the man he's become. He will be 21 in May.....
