Hope someone can shed some light on this one.Jon called tonite and said he still doesnt have his plane tickets for his assignment. When he asked the xo's they dont know anything. He is getting worried that he might go somewhere else instead of Diego Garcia .Have any other dads heard of their son's running into this issue.

How do you get the Master At Arms coin shown above? Can a civilian buy them?

Anyone on the site have sailor at Kings Bay, GA? My son is there. We just visited while bringing his car. It is a beautiful base. very hot already. Florida is a short drive.

Scott, my sincere congradulations to you and Tony on his assignment top Norfolk, be sure to have Tony get you a MA School challenge coin, it is a beautiful coin and one you will be very proud to have in your pocket and show to your freinds and shipmates.

Bob, My son Tony has confirmed he is going to Norfolk for sure. Not bad, 3rd Generation Navy, 3rd Generation Norfolk, now all that is left is if he gets a flattop later in his career! He is pretty happy as one other of the shipmates also is going there and he lives just outside of the Norfolk area.

We're still waiting to hear if our son will be assigned to the watercraft instead of base side. This week he'll be training on some weaponary at Ft Lewis but all his tests are done. He's stoked about that!

Hi Scott,

I spoke with my sailor, Jon Malone, this am and spoke to him about the possibility of Scott transfering to Norfolk. He said to tell Scott should he transfer to Norfolk to look him and he will help him in anyway he can, There are two MA group assingments at Norfolk 1) waterfront 2) base = gates and patrol. Jon is in the base security. Good luck to Scott whatever he chooses.

Hi Scott,

My sailor graduated MA 'A" school last Sept. his first duty station is Naval Station Norfolk. I visited him the weekend of Ma3ch 3-4. his assignment is gate duty and Patrol car it changes fairly often. The area is Great, Virginia Beach would be a great place for a youngster in the summer.
