My son was just asking about the specific duties of the MAs at Norfolk.  Is it possible to ask Jon for a briefing?  I'd appreciate it!

Thanks Bob, all my best to you and Jon!  Who knows?  Maybe sometime we'll run into each other visiting the boys!

And who knows what Chris wants anyway?  It depends on the statistics after his three year duty station is over.  That's when they start dealing with the sailors' futures, as I've read.

I have learned it's all about the population in your rating.  My buddy was a Helo mechanic for 12 years, cuz there was a lack of them when he served in the 80s.  He worked on Apaches, and the Black Hawk at the end of his career.

Thanks Bob! I'll pass your son's name along to Chris for reference. I don't doubt their paths will cross.
BTW, my dad served in the Navy 52-56. The first two in Korea, with some amazing stories from the beach heads. He was a Quartermaster, but I'm not sure his rate when he mustered out.
