I talked to my son Sean (via skype) night before last, he is in Gulfport doing more training. Sounds like he is having the time of his life, I asked him what he was doing this weekend and his biggest decision was if they were going to a concert or to New Orleans for the weekend. must be nice to be 18 and have some money in the pocket.

Good for you and your son Terry, my son found out his orders Thursday, one of three selected for MWD interview or Norfolk, Va. Sounds like the rest of the orders were Baharan, Guam, Bangor.I also through he said there were only a few Stateside posted. One of the guys in his class is going to Bangor. MIxed feelings about him taking the MWD program, it's his career however. I think I would have just taken Norfolk and stayed in a police cruiser for 4 years. (ex MA2 myself).

Just a brief update on my MAA son, Justin, who's stationed in WA at the Naval base Kitsap Bangor base. He was in such a motivated and no-fooling around group and they actually got through orientation a week or so eary, which he was happy to hear. That means today on Good Friday he's done and should hear today if he's one of the fortunate ones to be assigned to the watercraft patrol boats. He'd love that. Should be able to see him and his new wife for Easter dinner this weekend. Happy Easter to everyone and God Bless and Keep our troops, wherever they are in the world.

Jon and Kyle was told today that they will get their orders tomorrow. Stated that one of the shipmates failed his last test and fell to the bottom of the list. Ouch!
