dawned on me earlier today that I bet it was the MWD. We stayed a couple of days on the base and we were just across from the kennels that was the coolest part of Lackland I thought(we have been involved in "protection" dogs for quite awhile and have imported some from Germany). Yep Sean is also off to Bahrain after all the training for the Mobile Security Force. sounds kind of fun.

Bob/Shane: Chris was selected for Military Working Dogs, which is another 11 weeks of training (C-School). Then he's off to Bahrain for 2 years. Sounds like Sean is going Mobile Security Force? I spoke with others in Chris' class last weekend that were doing the same thing -- Gulf Port, then San Diego before deployment.

Thanks for all the great ideas on getting another coin. I'll definitely check out the website and order another one. Losing it made me sick. My son has just now started his orientation here at Bangor with the Marines and said it's tough and he feels like he's back in bootcamp. It usually takes him 2-3 days for him to get "righted."

That is my question, what is C school in San Antoino about? I know Sean is headed to Gulf Port for month and then San Diago before he deploys

The pinning ceremony on Friday was great. Not many family members there but was glad I was able to attend. Our newly Badged MA is now home with us in Seattle for 10 days. Then it's back to Lackland for C School.

He brought home a Challenge Coin for me. Thanks to all of you I knew what it was!

We are in San Antonio dropping Jon off at Lackland.I think he is glad to be getting back in the swing of thing.he thought he could one up me in the weight room at the hotel but he found out otherwise. He can still out run me though.

Hi Shane,
great discription of the MA Coin, I would add 1 thing and that is the high polish. I have one other high quality coin that my soninlaw gave me. He is a LT Col in the Air Force reserve and is the Co of his outfit. He told me his was purchased through the Air Force and not suppose to duplicated Commercialy.

Daryl:

those are kind of neat but don't look like the ones we bought in San Antonio. The ones they were selling actually look like a badge with the MA greed on the back
