Hi everyone,

My grandson Jon graduated MA "A" School yesterday 9/25/09.

I spoke with him last night and he was packing and preparing to fly home today for a 14 day leave and then on to his next duty satation in Norfolk , VA.

Needless to say everyone is everyone very, very proud.

thanks cindy, jon had read some of the comments on this site and had said he was already used to some of the things being said by the new m/a's. he figures it was actually 42 days from the 11th or 12th of sept. when he will go to s.a.

the navy lodge is nice and its right down the street from the main gate...we stayed there when Jason's ship came back from deployment 3 years ago...the folks there are so friendly and always asking if you need anything....

Hi everyone,

well Jon has gotten his verbal orders for his next duty station,

Norfolk, but what Command he does not know yet.

But it is less than 4 hours from in the Annapolis area, which is great.

Any suggestion for hotels hwen we go there some time in October?

My son trained in SA and is in Bahrain. He trained on and carries the Beretta 92M and the M-4

though my son is an AM3 he is doing security duty for the Roosevelt with the Beretta. Like it or not ( he doesn't-- he likes big calibers....) that's what almost everyone carries.

Hi everyone, my name is Mike and my son Christopher an MA stationed overseas. He left for boot camp on April 2008, graduated on June 13, 2008, my 22nd wedding aniversity, from there he went to S A for MA-A school. He was home for two weeks after school , then his first duty station. Just recently was home for leave, we hadn't seen him in a year. His tour has been a roller coaster ride.
