There will be a ceremony at the UDT SEAL MUSEUM in Fort Pierce Florida over the Veterans Day Holiday to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of the commissioning of SEAL Team ONE and TWO. I am sure that at the EAST and WEST coast reunions this year and next there will also be celebrations.

Grandpa is correct about OPSEC.   The SEAL trainers and command in sd are VERY concerned about movement and dates being mentioned.  they are very concerned about security of your boys.

We heard the same (12/14/11) depart from our son.  He wasn't sure of the start date in CA, but seems like a decent break.  They'll need to keep the fitness level up - run & run & run some more.

Kurt; Our son is currently in Pre-Buds & he has informed us that BUDS Class 293 will depart on 14Dec for Christmas leave enroute to Cal.
