L Dave T --Six to eight weeks for pre-buds is usually a pretty safe guess.  Navy however can be very unpredictable regarding dates

My son will be PIR - enroute for Prep 14Oct; what is the status regarding BuDs winter COI and how long should we expect his tenure in GL to last prior to xfer to Coronodo?

Hell Weeks are set up to avoid major holidays in my experience.

How does Hell week work if it conflicts with a major holiday?

Scott,

Thanks - The Bandito Brothers have produced some of the fantastic recruiting video's for the SEAL/SWCC community.

I am looking forward to this.

Bandito Brothers....

These guys have made a movie about SEALs in conjunction with NSW. Been waiting a super long time for info on release, and they had a huge spread in the Wall Street Journal today on the movie to be released Feb 17. Sort of hybrid of Documentary and Fiction.

Bandito Brothers has some DNA that was involved in some very well done documentaries, including 'Dust to Glory', 'Step into Liquid', 'Endless Summer', and 'On Any Sunday'.

Thanks for the info. He is already at Boot Camp and scheduled PIR of 10/7. At MEPS, I guess they "guided" him to a different rate. From all I read, I'm interpreting it to mean, it is very unlikely he will have the opportunity to switch to SEALS, but I could be wrong. He's going in as AECF, which I believe ET has a CREO 1.  I'm also wondering, would they attempt to switch him to Nuke ET once there? He got a 97 on his ASVAB. Sorry if this is the wrong place for this question.
