Casualty Receiving Treatment Ship. During times where high casualties are likely, such as disasters or initial stages of war, the Navy will convert several amphibious assault ships as hospitals. he'll be part of the medical team that would deploy onto these ships. We just found out his regular job will be part of a traveling team which tests for infectious and contagious diseases.

Great to hear, Jared. We are anxious to find out where he'll be assigned. He is also CRTS. Where is your son assigned?

Hey Paul my son is stationed at Bethesda also. He has been there for a little over a year now and loves it.

Our son just arrived at WRNMMC in Bethesda. He just graduated Corpsman A school two weeks ago and had a couple of weeks of leave. He'll get his area of assignment today. Any other Dads have their Corpsman stationed there?

Have a safe and respectful Independence Day Dads (and Moms). Fly your flag. Display your pride. And never forget their role and ours.

May God Bless our sailor sons and daughters, in-country, stationed, or deployed, as we celebrate our freedoms.

Grandson, Nick was also one of the last to graduate HM3 from GL, was assigned to Oceanside, (San diego), then to Marine recruits and "ran" as such FMTB course. . .  11 times. Only the padre did better. Now is assigned to Pacific Partnership, (Mercy), and presently somewhere in or near Subic Bay. Very proud of him. He may turn "greenside" for awhile. Hooya.

Congrats to HM2 Collins and HM Westlake, way to go men, you do us proud. HM 2, stay safe and watch over your flock, those Marines are very special, as are you both.
