Hello All, my sailor is in Pensacola for A school. He is working toward becoming an Airman... Bravo Zulu to all recruits and sailors... and you parents for raising children that are challenging themselves with being part of the military....

My son graduated from ODS today.  We lost his Mom to cancer this past May.  He said there was a Lady in the Galley that looked just like his Mom.  It was like she was there with him every day.  You never know who you touch.  Thanks to the Galley Staff!

My daughter Michelle is a Boot Camp Recruit in Ship 12 Div 130 since 1/28/13.  Was so glad to get her first phone call home today and actually get an address for her, still waiting for the mail package.  Her PIR is supposed to be 3/22 so I have a few days to get the hang of this Navy Dad thing :-)

Anyone out there have a Boot Camp recruit in Ship 03 (USS Hopper) Div 075 or 076? Arrived at Great Lakes 12/3.

Michele ... his goal is to be an admiral. :-) His specialty may be advanced eleoctronics. He scored very high in all physical and acedemic recruiting tests and I have no doubt he will excel in whatever path he chooses to take. I'm very proud of what he's already achieved and look forward to receiving his first letter.

Welcome to the group David! So glad you got that call from your son, it puts your mind at ease, especially since we are single parents.  Do you know rate your son was wanting to be? Glad to have you in the group :)

My son joined boot camp 12/3 and to great relief received his "call home" the next day. Sounded tired but OK. Looking forward to the next call in a couple weeks. Maybe a letter too?
