Hay yall, I just reread my comment I left on January 3rd and need to make a retraction; I do not like being alone, however, I just take one day at a time and work on making it the best day I have had. It does not always turn out the way I want.

Hello to all,
I am new to this site and the group. I looked the website up recently and decided to join in hopes of expanding my support groups and friends to go along with those I already have on the N4M site.

Well Natalie they actually met at a bingo gaming site. . . in defense of the 'perfect match' I have been widowed since 1999 and then ended up dating and getting engaged to my best friend, only for him to pass also in 2001.. .my point here is that your emotions fool you into believing you are ready to date because you yearn for the closeness to not feel alone. I had done that too and had to back away from a few men. I am more than ready now to date and it seems no men are interested now. This leads me to believe men do want the unconfident, needing rescuing, and emotionally unstable women. . . . Happy New Year Single Parents!!!!

I have been living alone for the past 15 when my last child moved out on his own, however, I have liked being alone.

Glad to find this site. Just sent my daughter in law off to be with my son (Sub-base) in Groton. So I am feeling the emptynest. I am waiting for my other son, ( a Seabee) to return return from Okinawa, sometime this month. He will then be home on leave for 2 weeks. I can't hardly wait.

Hey, Michele -- Happy New Year!! (same to you, Natalie #2!!! ha ha!)

Did she meet her man on a dating site? I just have to know. Eharmony didn't work for me..........but almost did....my "perfect match" was not over his dead wife, or so he said. I think he should've given that more thought BEFORE he got on eharmony (she had not been "gone" for a full year yet!)
Gosh!! I think if I were ever married for 17 or 18 years and my hubby died, I'd wait at least a year to two before trying to meet someone new, you know?

I'm sooooooooooo glad we have a NEW YEAR NOW!!!
