Good morning all~ Thanks Robert & Michele and CONGRATS Robert & Whitney! I have 10 more days with my son till he leaves. I've been sorta depressed I guess and not doing much but working. I need to get out of this slump! Any ideas??? I can't even get my house decorated for Christmas. Going to try today. Ihope everyone has a great day!

Congrats on PIR Robert!! Be sure to tell us all about your experience when you return, oh and pictures are always a nice treat ;). Be sure to tell Whitney congrats and thank you from all of us on Navydads & Single Parents :). Travel safe and look forward to your return!

Natalie, You are a fortunate one to have other children to help keep you busy :). Be sure to stay involved with them as much as possible, it really helped me! Wes is my only son and I have three daughters so everything he ventures to do is a new experience for me, talk about shock constantly hehehe. Good morning and Thank you Michele. I have 4 sons. My 2nd born is the one leaving for BC on Dec 17th. I am a basket case of nerves but thanks to this site and N4M I am finding out that I am normal and will make it through this somehow! I keep searching for everything I need to know to prepare my self for his departure as well and how to handle the time he is away. It seems everyday I learn something new. I want to thank you all for being here! Natalie~

Welcome to the crew here Johnna :). Yes it was a miracle holiday for my children and I, at the last minute I was able to get a flight I could afford to fly my son home! EG, the site owner, and his wife, plus Howie and his wife helped in making it happen! EG actually took time out of his families vacation to drive my son to an airport over an hour away, I am indebited to them forever . . .
I hardly got any sleep those three days lol but it was well worth it :). Hope everyone had a blessed Thanksgiving :).

Yes Michelle...Iam gonna host a potluck for NC Moms in Jan....dont have date yet...but I will message you directions to my house. Coty called last Sat. He said the Sat before he sat in the phone booth for 30 min and could not figure out how to use the calling card. He said he is taking the leave, so he will be driving home with us and then his dad will drop him off at A school on his way home. Iam gonna need a stiff drink after this trip LOL..15 hours one way on a car with Coty's dad (whom I have been seperated from since Coty was 1yr old)....

Robert - So sorry I haven't been on to see your post sooner! I hope Whitney has gotten over her sickness and doing well :). I have been feverishly hunting a flight for Wes to come home for Thanksgiving and I finally did last night! With the help of EG, Cindy, and Cora he will be home for the holiday :)! I will never be able to say or do enough to repay the gratitude I have for these three wonderful angels!!

Jamie - OMG I am seriously showing up to your hotel lol. . . also you were the one that invited me to the get together in January, correct? If so I will need good directions and what item to bring :). Have you heard from Coty how is he doing?

LOL Michelle..yes I would like to bring up my crockpot..Coty loves when I make Italian sausage and boneless pork ribs in sauce and then a tray of lasagna. He doesnt care about cookies and stuff like that but he loves his pasta
