Hey Michele, my son is a machinist mate on Nuclear Subs, he isn't on a sub yet but he will be. The Prototype is where he will actually do hands on things (I think). It is the last part of school before he gets his sea duty and home station. We are headed to SC to get him on Thursday provided he passes his comps on Tuesday. I am sure he will do ok, but I will be on edge until he calls and says he passed.

Hey Jon, guess you needed to get away from the other site, were those women driving you crazy? LOL. Just kinding. Well hope everyone had a good weekend.

How cool Kelly :) . . .your son will be doing what job with the Navy? Since my son is in the Aviation side I am not positive what Power School and Prototype is?? Sounds interesting though :). You woke one person up (actually 2 if you count me hehehe)

Hey Jon!! Long time no talk ;) great to have you here! What is happening with your son these days? My son is coming up on his one year in the Navy on the 23rd, wow how fast this year flew by. . . although my son probably wouldn't feel the same lol.

P.S. I guess I fibbed, I am here again ;) . . . only because my son finally got to see his new daughter this week and I am going to be posting those pictures, yeaaah!

Michele, thanks for the welcome and I understand about college, been there done that. Good luck. Well I am a single emptynester with 2 dogs 3 cats. I work fulltime and parttime. My son will be graduating Power School April 10th and I can't wait to see him. After being home for 2 weeks he reports to Ballston Spa, NY for Prototype. He is hoping to get stationed in Groton CT but he doesn't really know where he will be stationed. Just so it is the East Coast. Well I will do my best to get these guys awake and conversing, ha, ha................well good day to everyone!

Kelly, welcome to Single Parents!! Please forgive my delay, I am not checking in but about every couple weeks since college started. I do hope you enjoy the group and can spawn great conversation to wake these guys up hehehe. Tell us about yourself and your sailor :). God Bless

Thank You Carl. .. I would expect you to favor your granddaughter more :). I am glad Zac is getting to see a new base, it helped my son to get out of P'cola too. He is really thriving at NAS Oceana! What rate is Zac (what job will he be doing)?
