Looking forward to the Tiger Cruise. These guys are so ready to get home. I expect they will be a little giddy those last 2 days.
anyone still looking for a hotel. Try the Jacksonville airport Clarion. They have a buss to run you from the airport to the hotel and then again back to the peir. price is $54 for single or double and breakfast is included. just metion the Tiger Cruise when making reservations. Good day all,
My daughter and I will be going on the Eisenhower Tiger cruise 07-28-2009 from Mayport to Norfolk but have not reserved a room for the night of the 27th. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'd like to be near the meeting point so I don't take any chances of getting lost.

Yes What do you need to know ? my son is an ABHAN also but working in officer galley now then giong to crash rescue after they get back.

and unless things have changed from my Tiger Cruise in April, you'll meet at the USO in the Jacksonville Airport....it is located downstairs by baggage claim.

for you Tigers....be sure to check the Ike's website all the time. I got more info for the TR's Tiger cruise from the website than anywhere else. Also check out the Tiger Cruise or Theodore Roosevelt groups--- I've posted a bunch of links to Tiger Cruise videos and blogs that will give you all some idea of what you will experience. And a suggestion--- I was kinda overwhelmed with "stuff"...between the ship and the planes and the size and all. My suggestion- step back and talk to as many sailors as you can. I wish I had interacted more with the crew..............
