At MEPS in San Diego. He hasn't shared yet when he leaves for basic, his job will be Missile Technician. I work in the South Bay, live in the Inland Empire.

I remember that quake. I was driving on it the day before with my 1yr old. Who would of thought! Thank god!

I remember it all too well the Cypress fwy collapsing trapping motorist and a top section of the Bay Bridge dropped downed to the bottom eastbound traffic all the while the World Series was going on in Oakland between the A's and the SF Giants. No electricity, only one radio station broadcasted, cel phones bogged down and took me 4 hours to get home from work which would normally be 15-20 minute commute to Daly City. To say the least it was a nightmare I'll never forget..

John when this thing woke me up I thought I was dreaming stared at the clock 3:20am then immediately had flashbacks from the magnitude of Loma Prieta. My first concern aside from family and friends was the Bay Bridge for some reason.. Good thing it skipped SAC I'm sure the folks in Vallejo and westbound on felt this!

Stephen yes even though the epicenter was in American Canyon the bordering city from us. This was felt as far as Fresno. Praying for all those in Napa..
