At MEPS in San Diego. He hasn't shared yet when he leaves for basic, his job will be Missile Technician. I work in the South Bay, live in the Inland Empire.

Wishing everyone a "Very Merry Christmas" and a great "New Year" for folks that have someone serving with HSM-71 they have posted up a bunch of pictures on their Facebook page. They have a picture of my Son Jordan and his buddy "Hoff". Jordan is on the right.

For everyone planning to attend the NBSD Holiday Open House, ALL adults need to have a VALID U.S. issued form of identification. To bring your vehicle onto a military base, you must have a valid driver’s license, current registration and physical proof of insurance (Insurance card). If driving a rental car, valid driver’s license, proof of insurance & car rental agreement will be required. Pede
strians will not be allowed to enter the gate. To participate in this event, you must drive your vehicle.

The following items are prohibited inside the venue and subject to confiscation:
• Weapons (regardless of permit) including firearms, knives (including pocket knives and multi-tools), replica or toy weapons, pepper spray or stun guns
• Alcoholic beverages, unless purchased from approved vendors
• Ice chests or coolers
• Pets, other than service animals
• Glass containers
• Bicycles, roller skates, roller blades, (kick and electric) scooters or skateboards
• Backpacks/Bags larger than 8 1/2 x 11 inches (standard backpacks)

Permitted Items:
• PCS/cellular phones, pagers and FRS transceivers
• Fanny packs and purses, or bags 8 1/2 x 11 inches or smaller
• Cameras and camcorders
• Hand held umbrellas

Please note that if you plan to tour one of the ships, you should be able to easily climb stairs and be in good physical health.
