At MEPS in San Diego. He hasn't shared yet when he leaves for basic, his job will be Missile Technician. I work in the South Bay, live in the Inland Empire.

Well our son reported to the Nimitz this past Monday. He loves his work station and seems to be settling in nicely. Now they prepare for deployment.

Happy New Year "Proud Californians"
I finally heard from my son right before Christmas after they pulled into a port out in the south Pacific. He was very happy to tell us that he had made PO1, E6. And no more hot racking for him aboard his submarine. They extended their WestPac another month so as to protect our freedoms.

I'm in Virginia Beach, Va. visiting my Son- Gerrett, & my Daughter-in-Law-Vanessa for a week. Went to Norfolk Naval Base today to catch a glimpse of his ship-the USS Harry S Truman, along w/ the Enterprise & other ships. I'm proud to say that both-Gerrett & Vanessa were recently promoted to 2nd class (E-5). God Bless our "Kid's" in service, Happy New Year everyone!!
