Hello again all.
Since my son signed up last summer, I have given thought to the Blue Star flag. I know about them and the use in WWI and WW II. My Fathers Mother's flag had three blue stars. My Mothers Mother had one Blue Star. Sadly that Blue star had to be covered with a Gold star when the Indianaoplis was sunk.
It would seem that the Blue Star Flag is being used again.
Anyone know of the current proper respected use of the Blue Star Flag ?

Gary, point taken about 397- and I understand that if they were listed as free, then people who had no right to them would order them not even knowing what they were for. As for an outrages price, Perhaps a few hundred men in uniform, And their Mothers, showing up out front whould get the attention of those disrespecting those who protect them.
Cool bud!
Jim I didn't know this can be customized that's awesome!
Well Craig your point is well taken like it somewhat cheapens the meaning of giving the ultimate sacrifice. But can you imagine if it was on sale for $397.00? I'd feel pretty bad for the loved ones who would have to cough that up as they already suffered a great loss...
Hello again.
Yes evidently they are. Not my reason. My son is third generation to serve in the Navy, and I was thinking more of respect for my WW II Uncles and Father.
The Blue Star Flags are for sale all over. But what gets me is when you see a Gold Star Flag for sale on Amazon for $3.97! Ultimate disrespect for one who has given the Ultimate Sacriface for his country.
Craig I do recall reading something online about this that it is making a come back...
Hello Gary.
I want to display my pride, and at first thought of a Navy flag below our National Flag. Which has been up, and replaced many times since 911. Then I rememberd about the Blue Star flag. Which in a way would be a better way to show our pride. Its good to hear that you have one in your window.
Are many other modern day Mothers and famlies learning of, and using the Blue Star Flag?
Craig I found several links on this online hope this helps. http://www.nrotc.org/servicebanner.htm

I have one too displayed at home...
