hello Craigl, I'm not a navy dad but a future sailor myself and i was wondering if you heard of anybody needing to pass the dlab test to be eligible for all CT ratings or just the CTI rating. My asvab score qualifies me to do the CT ratings but I just failed my DLAB test to be eligible for CTI. I got 99/100. My recruiter and a few others told me that this closes me off from all Crypto jobs now. I want to do the CTT rating since i cant do CTI. Do you know if this is true. everywhere i have looked online points me in the other direction. thank you for any advice you can give
hey bud....haven't seen you on the site for awhile....
Yes, Craig, he has had his clearance for some time, and has been in holding serving on Color and Honor Guard. He recently completed several additional classes, but has been sent back to holding. Is this typical?
ever heard of a program like this? http://www.navydads.com/forum/topics/trying-a-variety-of-a-schools-before-deciding-on-a-rate
Craig I was told by Paul you might have some info I could use and to contact you. My son signed up for a 6yr CTT and is at Corry Station. He recently got a UA and went to captain's mast and was declassified so I was wondering if you could tell me if it is normal to be reclassified as a BM right away or if they would keep him declassified? Also if he is just declassified who should he talk to or what should he do to have the best chance to get reclassified. He says he did not lose his security clearance, if that makes a difference. Any info would be helpful. Thanks Glenn Sampson
Thanks craig-- I made a link in the Bootcamp group to your post so all can find it easily
