I know there isn't a lot of information given out about BS21 and I understand why, but I hope this is a general question and someone knows the answer.  I have seen where a lot of people have posted that such and such Div made it through BS and I was wondering, does the whole division either pass or fail, or can individual recruits be singled out as having passed or failed?  My recruit is only beginning week 3 of training, but I having been reading as much as I can find out about the whole process and I don't remember seeing anything regarding this question.

Thanks!  I have learned a lot from all the knowledgeable individuals here!

About three sailors in my son's division failed and were cycled into an other division to retake BS21.  If  I remember correctly these particular sailors were able to Pass In Review with with their original division after passing on the second try.

Chuck,

Thanks for the reply.  It must be a fairly short period of time then before they can do BS over again if they are able still grad with their original division.  Interesting.  Any idea how common this is?

Thanks!

Jim,

Yea, that much I know.  It's still far enough away that it is still just a thought in the back of my mind.  There is a lot to go through and learn before they get there.  I know she is strong willed and will be successful in whatever she puts her mind to!

Thanks for the info!

Of course!  I've watched the video and visited the website.  I'm with you.  I would love a tour!  It would also be very cool to be an observer during a BS21 if that were ever possible!  (I'm sure it wouldn't be but one can dream).  I almost said to participate in some kind of mock drill, but even that would be far beyond my physical capabilities!
I've been there, and more often than not it is only individual recruits that fail, when this happens they can still graduate on time, they will be required to retake BST21 at the next available opportunity.
