Navy Dads

Well, we finally got our "Sailor in a box" and all of his info yesterday.  Looks like an ETA Grad date of 5/20.  I can't imagine being any more proud then I am now.  It's nice to be able to mail off all of his letters finally.

We are from Redding, CT, and our son Charlie is the person in this Ship/Div.

Would like to hear from any other folks with young adults in Ship 02, Div 927!

Does anybody else have a son or daugher in Division 927?

Hi Chris,  Our son Charlie Ripperger called on Tuesday afternoon and asked us to send him his bank card.  LOL - no, I'm not making it up.  :-)   The call lasted about a minute.  Charlie said he was OK and that he was "manning up".   He also confirmed hat he has not recieved any mail.

I'll definately keep in touch if we hear any more from our side (Redding, CT).  I look forward to meeting you and Justin at PIR.

Hi again Chris,

Charlie will also be heading to Pesecola as well - for AO training.

I can't beleive that you will have 2 young men serving.  That is fantastic!  Special thanks to your men and your family!

I wrote Charlie yesterday and mentioned that we were chatting, but I now realizxe that I used the incorrect last name for Justin.  You know what they say about "assuming"???  :-)   I'll write Charlie again today, and get it straight.

Hopefully the boys will get a chance to write this coming Sunday.  I'll keep you posted if I hear any news.

Recieved a 20 minute phone call from our Recruit yesterday.  It was the perfect Easter gift for his Mother and I.  We even had a chance to conference in his girl friend.  That made all parties extreamly happy.  Looking forward to PIR and seeing the men.

Hi Chris - have you had a chance to look at the pictures that were recently loaded onto the main page of NavyDads today?  We are 99% sure that the division that is sitting on the bleachers in Marlinspike are our boys!  Hopefully you can pick out Justin.  We definately see Charlie (3rd row up, with his arms extended straight).  Only 2 more weeks.  Go Navy!
