Navy Dads

I live close to the base, so I got this info very fast. It was just a form letter with his address in it and all the things the base has going on that weekend fireworks, concerts and a list of hotels and restaurants around the base. Sending him a letter today.

Important news from RTC:

We would like to stress to the July 1 PIR group that NO additional guests will be allowed into the ceremony. Only four guests per recruit will be allowed to attend the ceremony and this includes children. It is imperative that you communicate with your recruits as to which four names will be listed. There are no exceptions — four guests only, no matter what age.

more (from RTC) on the PIR:

We need to stress to this group that the guest policy is different for this group than it is for other graduating groups.

Each recruit will be allowed to invite four guests. Children do count against the four-guest maximum. ADDITIONAL GUESTS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND THE CEREMONY!

While other graduating groups may have additional guests attend the ceremony as additional space is available, the July 1st group will not be allowed ANY additional guests. This is firm. We repeat: NO ADDITIONAL GUESTS WILL BE ALLOWED TO ATTEND THE CEREMONY.

This graduation is the centennial celebration of Naval Station Great Lakes 100 years of training Sailors at Great Lakes and the ceremony will be held outdoors.

Again, only the guests whose names are on the access list will be allowed to attend the ceremony. This includes children. Four guests only.

It is imperative that you communicate with your recruits as to which four guests' name will be on the access list. Only your recruit is allowed to make any changes to the access list, and the deadline for them to do so will be at least a week prior to graduation.
