Sounds good Steve...thanks for the info... maybe we will be able to meet up on the 23rd.
The wife got the call from Zach yesterday, he has run into another of his NJROTC classmates who graduates this Friday. he seems to be doing well. he say he will be leaving for A school in Pensacola (Zach is also a CTT) Saturday morning the 24th. We are also at spring hill.
Congrats on hearing from Zach, have not heard from Peyton yet, my wife keeps her phone with her at all times waiting for the call. We need to look at getting together for supper on Thursday night,
Good morning gentlemen....sounds like Springhill is the place to be. Congrats on hearing from Zach. Sounds like he and Tyler will be considered "Grad & Go".
Steven- What will Peyton be doing after PIR? Seems as though the Crypto guys are getting calls home to gather info for their security clearances. Hopefully you will hear from Peyton soon. Tyler told us he might get another call in a couple of weeks. I will keep my fingers crossed for you that those calls are Div wide and not just for more names and addresses.
I can hardly beleive that its already been 2 weeks since they arrived there.
Peyton is going into Master at Arms. From what we have seen on the Facebook site seems the majority of the calls are for security clearances. PIR will be here before we know it.
thanks Steven. We just responded and will be there.
Due to work schedules, we wont hit town till 2200-2300 Thursday night. Friday after liberty secures, I am planning on relaxing by the pool. Saturday morning, going to meet Zach at the airport and give him his phone and some civies for pensacola. i think i will try and spend a long weekend or two down there while he is in school. I was stationed in Panama City Fl. for a while and it would be a good excuse to see if the changes.
Got not one but two letters today from Peyton. Life does not get much better. He said that things are going well and they have made him a squad leader. The hardest part of boot camp for him is all the standing and waiting and the fact that there is no news of the outside world. He looks forward to getting mail and the more mail he gets the better.
Looks like he will be pass and go so will only get to spend Friday with him.
Hey Steven, that's great to hear. Glad to hear he's doing well. We were fortunate enough to get another call from Tyler yesterday...he says he mailed his letters Monday, but we have yet to see them.
A new poster--Just got our first letter from our son Matt yesterday. Said he was now in this Div, but he didn't say what job he was doing.
Do any of you dad's know what it means to be in "Accelerated" boot camp? Matt included that in his letter but didn't elaborate on what that meant.
