Navy Dads

Our dog died right before Christmas so we added a new addition to the family a couple of days ago. We have a new male Golden Retriever. We cannot agree on a name. With Evan being in the Navy and spending so much time on the site we think it's name should be Navy related. This is what we came up with. Sailor, Carrier, Freedom, Chief, etc. I want to know what you guys can come up with. I would love to have your suggestions or a favorite of the ones we've come up with. So basically we're trying to come up with a name for the new Navydads.com mascot.LOL

SEMPER CONFIDENS (ALWAYS BOLDLY)
I'll have to think on this one EG! I've had critters most of my life, and out of all (dogs, cats, ferrets, etc.) I miss my golden the most...they are a most remarkable pooch for kids!
I've always thought, though somewhat stuffy, Farragut was a cool name...besides he was an amazing Admiral ("damn the torpedoes......")
Arleigh...as in Burke
I had a friend in Navy air (p3s) and he had a dachsand named fuselage. Since he is a retriever, maybe he could be called Chopper.
EG...my golden (Leo) would love these. Frag...Norad( I know, its Air Force)... Top Gun...Striker...Meatball...Bravo...Zulu...Alpha Whiskey...geez I could on forever here!

check this out EG...good names here too!
SAM!!
we have a black lab that just so happens has the same name as the ship my son was in in INDOC. the SS COLE. Trevor thought that this was neat as this was his dog from a puppy and he enlisted when cole was 2yrs old
I want to thank everyone for their replies. The dog is now going by three different names. lol I'll let everyone know when this family agrees to one.
This just struck me. The dogs a retriever so how about gofer or one more would be, remember the show MASH
Col Potters orderly was Radar O'Reilly so how about radar
In the Navy it shouldn't be radar anyway....SONAR is much more appropriate...............
