Hi all, My son is in his 2nd day of Boot. I am so grateful for this site. I have already learned so much about what to expect, and how to plan for the upcoming events. I look forward to reading and learning more throughout the next 8 weeks.

My son arrived at Great Lakes last Wednesday night (11/7) after leaving Spokane at 6 am. My guess is that he will probally be in the same class as your son. Did you hear anything about your son possibly being in a "Push" class (accelerated) to get them done before the end of the year? His recruiter told him that is what happened to recruits that left at this time last year...

We got the letter today with his address. Ship 11 Division 049 graduating on January 4th.
So much for the PUSH class idea.....I am kind of glad that didn't happen though. Airfare would have be a lot more expensive..

My wife got a call from Aaron this morning around 6am our time. He had tried calling me but I cant have my phone on me at work in the ER. Anyway I am glad that she got about a 5minute talk with him. She said he sounded good and that they are just finishing up the processing in week and will be starting PT next week.
His best friend shipped out on Nov 1 and he has not seen a sign of him there yet. I was thinking that they might atleast cross paths somewhere. I guess we will see.

My son is ship 11 div 050 pir is 1/4/13. We got a call from him the other day hes doing well didn't sound homesick. Cant wait to see him in January ....

I am waiting for a letter to find out what div. and ship .
He called Sat. pm sounded pretty home sick.
Hopefully we hear from him on Thanksgiving.
He must be in a accelerated div. only going to be 7 weeks till he graduates
