Thanks Jim, I wont ask, lol. I'm sure if we meet at the meet and greet on 01/10/13 you will let me know.
Thanks so much for the quick responce.
Lisa, Patrick and I will be staying at NavyLodge which is very close to the RTC. Can anyone provide any information on the location and time of the meet and greet for 01/11/13s PIR? Thanks. Dan.
there are no restrictions to photography or video while INSIDE drill hall for PIR....do not take photos outside under any conditions
What is the location please? Thanks the Klines.
Thanks again for the quick responce. The Klines.
What a great site and thanks to the mods and all those who contribute!
My questions are regarding videotaping and still pictures and wondering if anyone can give a little more specific information.
First, I completely understand where photography is/isn't allowed, understand and agree.
Now for the questions....
Are tripods/monopods allowed? Or is lighting good enough to not even be needed?
While in the hall, are we limited to photography/video from were you are seated or are there vantage areas you are allowed to shoot from? If so, can anyone offer tips?
Finally, photography specific, what kind of distances are we dealing with during PIR in the hall and what focal length would be recommended?
Thanks for any information.
this is what the drill hall looks like:
it's long and narrow...and darn crowded on the bleachers........you're not going to find much space for a tripod...monopod would be better.
I thought the lighting was terrible...and once seated you will not want to move nor will anyone want you either.....
my personal recommendation....take some pics, but get the DVD for the memories. Instead of worrying about the camera and only seeing things through a viewfinder, soak up the experience.............
Thanks for the information, Paul.
The picture is a huge help.
No arguments on taking in the experience.
