all 900-number divisions are performing divisions (band choir, flags, etc.) while all 800-number divisions are SEAL, SWCC, EOD, etc. divisions.

That's cool!! My son is going to be a SWCC but couldn't get his contract in time! So he will go in as an AC, and see if he can get his contract while he is all ready in there!!

Yes will be attending PIR. My son's name is Cameron. From what I understood 916 is Ship Staff/Honor Guard but still part of the performing divisions http://www.navyformoms.com/group/bootcampmoms/page/900-divisions

Cameron is HM

My son's PIR is also March 3rd. He is in ship 2 div 913. His name is Jason. Maybe we will see you there.

you have to realize all your sailors call each other by last name.....bet a lot of shipmates don't even know their first names...........

Nice should be a lot of fun!! Have you got a phone call yet! We gone his first letter, he said the first days were tuff but the guys he's with are great!!

We got a phone call on Superbowl sunday brief one as he had to still call his mom and girlfriend but was great to hear from him.

The official letter we received after week 2 said our son would be allowed only 3 guests for the 3/8 PIR. In checking the graduation schedule on the website, it says only 10 divisions are graduating and 4 guests per recruit are allowed. The problem is that our son listed only 3 guests and would like to have his 2 siblings, his mom and me attend. Anyone have info that clarifies this?
