Navy Dads

Hello all. My SR is scheduled for PIR on 11-8-13. I just wanted to start a group for those of us with this PIR date in common. My son is in ship 09 Div 427.

One additional comment. My SR reported to RTC on September 11. We have received 4 phone calls already (including the initial scripted one) with one call lasting 25 minutes!

Anyone else having a similar experience? Mom and I aren't complaining, we just never expected so many calls.

My Daughter is in Ship 12 Div. 423. She has also called 4 times. Miss her alot but also very proud of her. Wish I could find some pictures.

My son is Ship 12 Div 423. I have also received 4 calls. His PIR is on 11/08 as well. I am so excited and can not wait to see him! I too miss him very much but I am so proud of him as well.

It is nice to meet you Robert and Kevin.  It's comforting to know that others are experiencing the same excitement and trepidation that I am!  It's been great to hear my sons voice so often and the fact that he sounds positive, determined, and in good spirits.  I'm certainly not complaining about the number of calls received!

We will be attending PIR and plan to attend Sarge's "party" the night before.  I have no idea what to expect for Sarge's event but I suspect I'll make many new friends.

I wish both your SR's good health and spirits.  I'm looking forward to 11-8-13 to celebrate the achievement of our recruits, and many others, becoming US Sailors!

Two of my daughters and I will be attending PIR, I hope to make it to the "party" as well. I know the girls are excited to see their sister graduate, but not as much as Daddy is.

My son is in ship 13 Div. 422.  We have gotten 4 calls, more than we expected.  My wife does "navy for moms" and read that another mom with a son in the same ship and division won a quiz and the reward is Div 422 having a picture posted on either navy for moms website or the RTC website.  Either way I am looking forward to the picture being posted.  I am dying to see the change in my son over the past several weeks!  Can't wait for PIR on 11-08!!

pics are not posted yet by RTC.....

My SR passed all her tests and I got the call today she is now a United States Navy Sailor! I am so proud of her.

I got the same call today. Battle Station completed!! He was so excited and I so proud. I can't wait until next Friday!
Can't wait for PIR. I hope I don't crack her ribs when get to hug her.

Congratulations to my Son who graduated in Division 423 today!

PIR was great, wish she could have had weekend liberty. She left for Corpsman school in Texas. I am so very proud of her.
