Navy Dads

He has been gone only a day and I already miss him a ton! Get to watch him swear in in the morning and visit with him for a little before he boards the bus. He has been staying with my Fiancé and I for the last 2 months cause him and his Mom weren't getting along. I really loved having him here. Got to spend a lot of quality time with him. It's gonna be tough to see him go tomorrow. But I know it's what he wants. He wants to follow in my Dad's footsteps(who passed away 6 years ago). I am so proud of him.  We had a going away party for him Saturday and there were a lot of tears shed at the end of the night. he and his twin brother had a great moment crying in each others arms for 10 minutes. They have never been apart in their 22 years. I have so many different emotions going on right now. I feel sad...but excited. Cant wait till December to see him graduate! Sorry about the long rant......just have to vent a little. Gonna be tough going to sleep the next few nights.

We were awoke the next morning at 0738, 0749, 0802, 0850x, 0851, 0933, 0958, 1033, and 1114. I got his package yesterday and dived into it to find the guilty phone at the bottom but it had lost power right before we got it.  It took every thing I could muster not to smash that phone into a billion pieces lol!

we got the box today!

We also received the box today,  but did not get the letter with his mailing address. He shipped out on 8/8/14.

the letter comes separately

I got My daughters "Box" last week, on Thursday i believe, and we recieved the form letter with her mailing address yesterday.  Monday was a federal holiday so im sure that pushed back the delivery a day. But so happy to finally get something so i can send her mail..  Her PIR is December 5th.

Nice to know about letter what day did she go in?

Oct 6th

My son went on 8th

How many guests? 3-4?

Chris....dependent upon the number of graduating divisions....

The number of guests allowed per recruit is dependent on the number of divisions in the training group.

12 or fewer divisions within the training group: FOUR guest maximum per recruit.

13 or more divisions within the training group: THREE guest maximum per recruit.

Correction. My son shipped  out on 10/8/14. Waiting Patiently for the letter. So we can make plans for the PIR. I'm considering using Sarge for our travel needs. Everything I read about him is very positive. Anyone else thinking about that?

Hi Troy.....you won't be disappointed using Sarge for discussion, advise, and/or service.  He could not have been kinder to our family - including recommending renting a car that took business away from him.  As for his Meet and Greet, attend if your family can.  You will never forget it!!  Best wishes to you and your family.  I attached a reflection describing our family's experience. ~ Pat
