It still feels like yesterday that she just left, it's been a hard few months, but now that boot camp is almost over I can see only good from now on, back than I was scared and wanted answers to put my mind on ease. I still miss her very much but I know that once she's out of RTC it going to get better, this Made us stronger, I can't wait to see what happens next

My daughter will also PIR next week.  My wife and I will be there to watch and celebrate with her. Its good to know someone else that has some there as well.

Jim what's her DIV number? My gf is 248, they might just know each other wouldn't that be a trip haha. I just received her last letter, I don't think I will be mailing home anymore but I could be wrong. But it was a very long one made me tear up I'm just so proud of her, the only thing that kinda scares me is her set of mind and the tone in it. Just kinda scared me I think it's just boot camp might have done a number on her, I hope I can help build her back up. She's going to need every bit of support from me.

She is the guidon bearer in div 937. She is also the conductor for the graduation band.

Boot camp DOES change a person.  Your gf will not be the same person that went in. She has learned a LOT about herself and is now military and not civilian.  That is for the good.  She is probably looking ahead at what her tasks are now and figuring out what she needs to do to accomplish them.  Be there for her and be supportive.

oh wow that's awesome to hear Jim. Yea I know where your going, we have another year of school ahead of us just got to make the time she has count and I will support her no matter what I'm in for the long haul you could say, I sent her a letter every day when she was in boot camp and it hurt a little when I wrote the last one last night to send, i will still write from time to time and when she gets into A school I will send them to her like I have been. Just time for the next chapter in her navy life, she has adjusted to it but still misses home, but I think she misses me the most and I wish I could be there but after boot camp is said and done I see a bright future ahead

Just meet up with her parents tonight to give her mom my gift to give to her. Her mom is like another and like me worried wanting to talk to her, she just wants to know if she is passing all of her stuff was hard not getting a phone call last weekend but we not dropping out sprites. Just question if anyone know how battlestations works, I know they choose different DIVs at random to take the 12 hour test, but when should I be expecting the phone call, you know the "I'm a sailor". It would just suck to get a call about something happening and her not passing or something that's under a lock and key in my thoughts, and her mom has been thinking the same. Just counting the days can't tell you how excited I am for next week, been marking the days on my calendar and she's off to school and than home for her break.... I've got a big surprised when she comes home, won't be for another 3 to 6 months but it will be worth it
