Received his "Formal Letter" while away on businesses. Put a smile on my face to see his hand writing again. His PIR is July 8th. Anyone else with a Recruit on this Ship and Div?

My son's PIR is June 24, and we are so looking forward to it. Ship 06 Div 227. I can identify with you about that letter. I had the same feelings when the letter came. Hope your son is doing well and thank him for his service.
there is a ton of info about PIR in our PIR group- spend some serious time there for lots of hints, helps, and suggestions: http://www.navydads.com/group/pirtipshintsandhelps
Hi Joe. I was reading through both the forum and comment pages and saw another member (link below) asking about, what I think is this (your) post.
That's how I read it too. If so, maybe his wife and your son are in the same company?

From the looks of it, his wife and my son arrived at Boot Camp on the same day.
My son is in Ship 14 Div 246 as well. Just sent out a letter to him yesterday. Was wondering. If a SR does not have a phone card will they let them call out. Forgot to put one in this last letter. Will get one in the mail to him today.
Not exactly but my Son is also a new recruit (Ship 14 Div 245) also with a PIR of July 8th. We will be flying in from Kansas City and staying at one of the local hotels.
I have heard that some parents have received letters from their son/daughter but I haven't yet so I've been watching for the mail more closely than usual these days. :)
If you go the the U.S. Navy Recruit Training Command page on Facebook. They took pictures of Div 245 and 246 and posted them. Check it out.
