Boot Camp 'I am graduating' phone call
So, I have read all the stuff for parents of recruits, and it says we should receive a phone call from my son telling us he is graduating, or not.
When can we expect this call? He is scheduled to graduate 4/14 - 8 days.

Thanks. Yeah, I ALWAYS have my phone on me for that reason.
I hope he calls before we are on the plane to GL on 4/13. Especially if his graduation is delayed for some reason.

And as a reminder, BS21 schedules are considered secure information and cannot be shared in open forums- and no, RTC WILL NOT release any information about those schedules. Two divisions go thru BS21 at a time and can typically be anytime from the Saturday prior to PIR up to and including the Thursday before PIR. ALWAYS assume everything is on track unless you hear otherwise.

Yes...It is, in essence, their Final exam. You will hear from him upon completion...

Received his letters yesterday. He qualified as Sharpshooter with the M9, just missed Expert Marksman. And he has his BS-21 date.

Bravo Zulu to our newest Sailors Div 117 & 118 Ship 6, TG 23.
Our daughter is Div 124 of TG 23 PIR 14April2017 we are looking forward to hearing her voice next Wednesday (most likely?) after she and her shipmates are also Sailors.
My wife and I are super excited to see her in her Dress Blues and also looking forward to meeting her shipmates families and friends next Thursday at Sarge's Meet and Greet and at Friday mornings Pass In Review!
