Hey, I noticed the ratings with the pictures of the girls when they were little. I was wondering how I could get my Brittany's picture under Aviation Structural Mechanic?

Thank you for the response to my questions. I will check out these two hotels and also with the airlines when we are there.

Tom- there are several discussions around lodging...check the Bootcamp and PIR groups. I stayed at the Marriott Courtyard twice....very nice. My ex stayed at the Ramada and she was pleased....root around the site and check out various posts. Being grad-n-go really limits visit time...Kelly may have anything from 1 hour to all weekend to spend with you depending on orders...so BE FLEXIBLE! Any time with her is worth the trip! Hint- check at the airport as being a military parent will likely entitle you to a security pass allowing you to pass through the checkpoint and spend more time with your sailor...check with the airline people when Kelly checks in for this service.

Hi Everyone, I wanted to let you know we heard from Kelly this week and she is doing fine. She hasn't quite figure out why everyone is always yelling at them even when they haven't done anything wrong. She is in Division 193 the U.S.S. Enterprise. Her expected PIR is May 15th so I will be deeding a hotel around that time. Any ideas? Alos once the PIR is over how much time can we spend with her? I imagine that is okay, but would be able to see her possibly the day after? She supposed to leave right away for Florida for A School at the moment. Have a wonderful weekend and happy Easter...Tom

Hi guys! My daughter Marjorie-Ann is in DIV 186, and her PIR is on May 8th. I've had a chance to talk with her a couple of times, so if I can be of any help Sol, just let me know. My daughter is the Recruit Petty Officer Yeoman for her division. It's a little more stressful for her, but does give me some insight on things work there.

Hi Sol,

Welcome to NavyDads Daughters and Their Dads group! You have found the best site for answering all your questions before your daughter goes to basic training. My daughter Kelly just started basic training two weeks ago and before and after she left the members of this wonderful site have been ther for my wife and I. Please lets us know how we can support you and answer your questions when they come up... Tom

Hi everyone,

We just heard from Kelly and she and eight recruits from Arizona arrived safeky in Chicago and were proceeding to the departure area at the airport for Great Lakes. She is happy that four the new AZ recruits were women and they have been making friends with each other.

Thanks for all the well wishes from everyone....Tom
