Kyle Dad, how's Kyle doing? Did he get classed up last week. Nick stood his first watch Saturday 12-4 AM, He's not use to being up at that time, I said welcome to the Navy.

Worst I ever had was a Destroyer Escort, Then I was stationed at the Hospital in San Diego, good good.

Kyle says that either the food is worse at Correy, or it's just that he now has time to actually taste it, unlike GL where they had to scarf it down in 12 minutes.

Funny thing about the whole thing, is he thinks the food sucks at Correy station. He loved the food at BC.

Thanks Craig, I guess being an old Sailor some of this new stuff is surprising. Maybe someone explained to him, and he doesn't remember. I also listened to the recruiter and din't here that. I will explain.

Welcome to the new Navy Mike.... For accounting purposes, the Navy will give sailors money for BAS (food), but then they will take it away. It makes it easy to account money coming in, and money going out. It also makes it easy when they are eligible to live ashore or TAD.
It's just a bunch of number shuffling. Rremember, your sailor doesn't get screwed on the deal (ie it doesn't come out of the base pay money he earns).

We will Nick seems to think it will go fast. Encouraging him to take all they give him. I just found out today they are charged for their chow. Something new?

Kyle says he should find out when he will classup today (hopefully). He may get into a new future IT training program which will keep him in Pensacola a lot longer. Sounds like a good deal, pray for him.
