His PIR is 9/2/10, then on to Pensicola. His other job he was going to do was AT, and his A school was also Pensicola, but he is an IT wizard, and that truly is his calling. I'm happy that he got his rate back. Either way he had gone, I'm very proud of him. Can't wait to see him at his PIR!!

My son called today with great information-he got his IT rating back. For whatever reason, his interviewer upon entering BC misunderstood something he had told her, and nixed his IT job. I made a few "inquiries" higher up, and they got to the bottom of it. So, he now has his dream job back. Because of the 'Privacy Act' he had to call and tell me himself...how great was that?!

My older so was in Airforce and worked on the Fire Department. After he got his, he got jobs on the Los Alamos FD. It will be good for all.

Yea I know. I work for DOD and have to deal with it all the time, having to wait for clearances has cost me two good employees. They found other jobs while waiting.

I'm sure he'll let me know if/when he gets it. Wonder if it would hurt to call the investigator? He gave me a card but I really don't want to pester him.

Yes they have to have it, before they can enter the school doors.
