Mike-Thanks for getting back to me. So was Nicks' holding time after his date he was supposed to report to San Diego? This whole 'hurry up and wait' thing seems to be the norm for the Navy...

Yes sir Paul, thats the info I got. 2 weeks is accrued leave. He will be only 5 and half hours away. So for a little while or up to a year we may get to see him on long weekends. He is taking his car back. SW always has cheap fares between here and there. Funny he is San Diego as that is where I did 2 years. His Aunt lives an hour up the freeway, to good to be true. Hawaii, what a place to visit. Hawiian Air usualy has some good deals. Kyles dad, Tell Kyle to visit all the historical places, that area is loaded. Good luck

Kyle left today headed for Maryland. Their two weeks is a part of their leave. We were hoping Kyle would be home for Christmas too but it didn't work out that way.

Mike-are Nicks' two weeks home using his accrued leave, or is the Navy giving him a break before he starts his job? My son says he is supposed to leave for Hawaii on Dec. 6th, but we were sure hoping to have him home for the Holidays. Think they might keep him in holding for a couple of weeks too? Sure would like to see my boy before he heads off!

Congradualtions Paul and Kyles Dad, Nick will arrive at Point Loma next week and then home for his 2 weeks. They have had him in holding for 2 weeks, was suppose to graduate last week, but someone messed up the Graduation list.

Son Cody received hard orders-it's definitely NIOC, Hawaii. He has about 20 mods to go before Graduating 'A' School, then hopefully home for the holidays before shipping out. Can't wait to see him, I am very proud!

Kyle is home now, be here for about a week and a half and then off to Maryland.
