Tiger or Family Day Cruises

Some of us have been lucky enough to experience either a Tiger or Family Day Cruise. Whether you are in the planning stages for one or hoping to sail with your Sailor when they return from deployment. Share your hints and experiences here---
but always remember, posting port dates or too many details about upcoming events can pose a security risk....so use good judgment about what you post here!

Hi Paul, try this link for your forms.

iger Cruise Medical Form (PDF Form) : tigercruise.pdf

Well. I spoke with my son on the Abe today and he said I'm all set for the TC, even though I haven't signed any medical docs, etc. I reminded him to try to send all docs in PDF format, not quite sure if I'm all set officially.

I did find another Tiger form useing a google search. I was ready to fill out the other form before I did recive the correct PDF tiger form for the Lincon. I was able to comunicate with my son by email to get the correct form that I could print and then fill out. After that I saved it to a file and emailed it back to my son. I dont want to come across in a wrong way,  I had the same problems getting the correct forms

all I've seen are ship/cruise specific....but that was a few years ago

Comment by Forrest Glass on July 13, 2012 at 8:01pm

Paul, Are they universal forms, or ship/cruise specific?

A smime.p7m file is a secure email.  Unless you’re logged into the correct web-based mail reader you won't be able to read the email.  See if your son can send the forms in PDF.

Thanks for responding,. NavyAdmin the format was "smime.p7". It required certification stuff we couldn'y figure out. Any additional help would be appreciated.

My son emailed me the forms for the tiger on the Lincon. The first set of forms he sent I could not open. My son sent the forms again and I was able to open the forms. The forms are in PDF format I filled out the forms and went by the office supply store to have them scaned and saved in PDF format. I emailed the saved PDF forms back to my son. My son has already turned the forms in. I have piurchased the tickets to fly to JAX and return from Norfork. I also have places to stay before and after. Really looking forward to seeing my son. I took my son on a cruse at Christmas told him he had to take me on this one whenit became avalable. I am ready to go unless something unforsealbe happens

Hi Paul I'm Richard Holland in Woodway Texas. Went with my son on the John C Stennis tiger in Feb this year. You are in for the time of your life. I have all the forms and would be glad to send them to you. best to go directly to my email  (richardwaco@gmail.com)

PS----they have elevators for Airplanes but not for old men. haha

the Navy has nothing to do with getting you forms or getting you signed up....totally up to your sailor to take care of that end of the cruise.  What format were the docs in...generally they are done as PDF forms to DOC files though I did get some as Excel sheets as well
