I have calmed down considerably and taken down my Stennis FB posts. Still feel really lousy about what I am learning from other parents on here and on the Stennis FB.
Thieves are like slimy Rats.
Jim," We Proudly Rasied U.S. Saliors" We get to say that , because of our children's morals. Things have a way of "goes round comes round"I Know your proud as I am of our own sailors .We get to say that motto!
ooooops!
I do not understand how to respond on this forum. Sorry.
I have received more information regarding USN Sailors aboard the USS John C. Stennis aircraft carrier. I am sickened by the theft that seems to be a common thing aboard our Sailors home.
Sailors stealing from each other, my son had his +$1000 camera stolen while volunteering to work in security. These kids have nothing to spend their money on while at sea, why do they need to steal?
In civilian life this theft is a felony.
Someone needs to tell the CO, about this.
I have a letter in draft but have been advised against sending it.
I work construction job sites and no one bothers my PC, Klein tools, lunch box etc. Why do Sailors need to steal from their shipmates?
If I get a chance to talk to Reis I am going to ask him about ratting out his boss and the theft on board.
Yes I am mad.
I've had no problem with emails from my daughter just got one this morning from her shes having her cell phone turned on so I can contact her when I get into Hawaii
I am going to step in and sound off as a father and sailor.
The Chain of Command (COC) will view a direct email from family as skipping unless the following has occurred:
1. The Sailor has tried to use the COC and nothing has happened.
2. Family members have contacted the Ombudsman with no result.
3. The Sailor has been counseled to have family contact the COC at a particular level.
These are the rules we've followed in my family for the last 16 years, and they've worked for us.
