Hello - Checking in to see how the "newbie" parents are holding up with the deployment. Since this is my second one in a year I'll consider myself a veteran and if anyone has any questions, etc please feel free to ask me. Just a reminder there might not always be alot of communication. Although it seems the women seem to communicate more than the men :).
Also let me know if your interested in helping with the holiday bags!
thank you
My daughter Jessica flew onto the John C Stennis today with her squadron HSM-71. Go Raptors, fly high and hard. Godspeed to all the sailors aboard the Stennis. Have a safe deployment. We are proud of all of you and love you. US Navy all the way!!!
Wonderful picture!
My son manned the rails on the way out of Bremerton. I wish I could have been there to get a picture, but I couldn't be there. :(
vid of them leaving:

Cinderella Lib is done for tonight. My son is back onboard and standing by for next few challenges.
I like the sound of getting the holiday bags ready ahead of time.
Kevin, congratulations on your new daughter in law. That is so awesome!
Congrats Kevin!
Dads - I'll put this out here, the N4M group of the JCS is doing aholiday project for the ship. I can get more info soon if your itnersted. BAsically we are going to try to send "goodie bags" to everyone on the JCS. This is different than the "N4MHoliday Project" (although I am also particpating in that because I'm a softie). Last year the N4M Holiday Project was the JCS strike group - all 6 ships, anyway enough goodie bags were promised so everyone attached to the strike force would get one but some people didnt follow through and about 2000 sailors didnt get one...needless to say us moms of kids who didn't get one are ensuring they do this year! A moms gotta do waht a moms gotta do.
