Hey everybody Haven't been on for a while, since the tiger cruise. Everything is going well for my family and I

I just recently got some exciting news from my son. He just qualified Chief Reactor Watch, Got an EP on his latest eval., and is assistant work center sup. I am super proud of my son! I am happy he is serving on the Stennis. The Tiger Cruise was awesome I met a lot or great young men serving along with my son.

A carrier strike group is the most formidable forward projection of force in the world and has been so for many years....whenever there is a threat the first move is typically to place a carrier strike group in the area...this is nothing new and will remain so.  All must realize that this is part of being a military family and that this is particularly  so for the Navy

Thank you, Richard V holland, I forgot add that , I would not have known that story. We don't hear from our sailor all that much. He is a quiet man.

USS JOHN C. STENNIS OMBUDSMAN

Greetings Stennis Families:
We would like to take a moment to introduce you to the Ombudsman Program that is available for Stennis families with sailors attached to the ship.
Your Ombudsman Team is here to answer questions or assist you if you have a problem and you’re not sure where to turn to.
Selected by the Commanding Officer, your Ombudsman Team are spouses of members of the Stennis crew who volunteer to serve as the official liaison between the Command and its families. We are trained professionals and can provide you with vital resources or help when in need. The Ombudsman Team serves as the primary link between Stennis families and the Command.
As a spouse or a parent of a Stennis crew member, it is important to know that we are here for you. We encourage you to call or email the Ombudsman Team with any concerns you may have. We are on call 24 hours a day for EMERGENCIES. Non-emergency calls are taken between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. PST.
Please know that what is discussed between the Ombudsman and family members is confidential. Confidentiality is a crucial element of the program and information is not passed on without your consent within the guidelines of the Navy Family Command Ombudsman Program.
You can contact us the following ways:
If your sailor’s last name begins with A-L, please call (360) 509-3507
If your sailor’s last name begins with M-Z, please call (360) 509-3555
Our email address is: Stennisombudsmanteam@yahoo.com
Our Careline is updated courtesy of the Command by calling 1-877-462-8674.
Please keep in mind that in order to maintain the safety of our sailors we will never give specific details regarding ship's movement such as dates or ports via email. Information regarding ports and/or arrival dates is communicated to our Stennis families through the Careline per Command instruction.
We would also love for you to join our web group for additional communications from the Team by going to: http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ussjohncstennis/
Please be prepared to provide us with your sailor’s name/rate/department/relationship to sailor and when your sailor checked aboard. Once verified we will add you to our group.

Thank you for posting this. We/the Navy are reacting to "Iranian threats"? All comments made by Iran are in threat form. Do we not have enough air power on the ground today in that region to react if needed?I understand our presence,I don't get the fire drill form reaction to words.
