Good morning!
Today is army/Navy Football Game!!...
Don't know the time...
AT&T ship-to-shore cards. Most cancel or put phones on hold while out as the international charges are ridiculous. There are some sites that send a free one to sailor, but can't remember what it is. You can buy the cards through the NEX or AAFES site (used to) without being active -- just these things. They will ship straight to ship for you, so you need his addy on the ship first -- box number is important. He won't be able to use regular email, such as gmail, yahoo, etc while out. He will get ship email addy once processed in and once blackout lifted will be able to send it to you. FB is a good place to keep in touch -- get your own page that he can leave a pm on to you and not post on main page for all to see. Blackouts/down times vary -- maneuvers, drills, system maintenance, etc. So don't be surprised if you don't hear from him for a few weeks.
Welcome to the ship.
my son is on the way to the Stennis. Any thoughts on cell phone plans? WiFi and facebook are free but overseas roaming charges for calls and texts are over and above current charges. Any suggestionl=s?
My son received a "Navy Coin"...
I would love to seat near that Christmas village... I love sweets!!!!!!!! LOL
Did you see their Christmas village and they even put out cookies and milk for Santa? lol -- no stockings though ;)
Congrats Mother to your sailor!
