Our sons 21st birthday on board the Stennis, he is behind the 3rd sailor from the left just behind his right shoulder and you can see his head over the short person with the dark shirt.

My Son is getting to do what I did years ago,Do not know it they will get to do the Shellback Ceremony, hope so, I was on the Bristol Cty, LST 1198 when I became a Shellback. I just hope they all stay SAFE!!

I think last time it was about a month or two. When you buy airfare to get to point A, remember to get the insurance for it, or at least make sure you can trade it for something else. Sometimes the cruises get cancelled at the last minute.  No refunds. Just an  fyi -- but they are lots of fun (from what I've heard).

There was one of mine after last concert. The one and only one during his entire assignment with the Stennis.  Even during last deploy there were no pics. Just the way it is.  Sometimes the not posting has to do with safety issues for them.  Hard to remember sometimes when your heart, whether a Mom's or Dad's, wants just a little glimpse of your loved one.

Facebook had picture or our Son the other day taking a fuel sample at the riser. It was good to see him. I also see he had his 3rd class strips ironed on as well.
