Thank you Laura Hopp for that link. The sailors interviewed seem upbeat and I will be checking in with that ship everyday, very cool!

Updates regularly -- official FB page for ship. Stennis Family and Friends page is run by mom of sailor, but not official USN site/page.
Not a thing. They did have air show with dignitaries while there -- youtube video, not of the show, but the Ambassador to UAE and Capt addressing group. If you are a praying man, I'd say pray for Warrior angels on the wings of the planes and helos, and Guardian angels to walk the decks with those on duty and all the vessels with them. Quiet means very, very busy. ;)
Is the ship still in port in Dubai? I have not heard from our son, he is a 25yr.old man and we are not worried at all, and no Flicker photo updates since 11/5. I understand the whole picture of both matters ,just looking from some latest parent contact here at NavyDads.
To all Sailors who advanced,Semper Fi and Congrats, Proud of you all. A Former Marine and Now Navy Dad
OH MY GOD!!!
My son has his advance, he is a petty officer 3rd class now!! So very happy for him!! He says he did very good in the test!!
I'm so happy, thank you God!!!
Laura, Thank you it has been a very good week. We also received a phone call from him as well.
Rob
Congrats for your sailor Robert!!
Mother: I don't think so. I think the lists are only those that actually advance, BUT, they do find out if they pass the test and were passed over this time.
So, then, another question... if they pass the test but did not advance, they are not in the list?
