Last year I showed the gate guards my Embarkation authorization, drivers license, rental car info and got onto base no problem. Of course we are dealing with the Navy and things can change.
Jim, This is what my son just sent me.
Base access for Hawaii? Because im part of the security department full time and they are telling me I can have you put on the access list for san diego, and Bremerton but they are not having a list for Hawaii... so I honestly don’t know what that guy is talking about. I need more information. Who is the chief, what is the department? Who is the sailor. Anything can help
If you can provide more info I can email it back to my son on the ship. If you would like to email me direct that would be great. smegal_125@hotmail.com
Thanks,
Dave
Thanks Jim, I just emailed my sailor with the info.
Thanks,
Dave
My son just replied I am on the base list with ID for pre mooring.
Your Sailors Chief should know how to do this
If anyone knows were there sailor was able to put names on a list please advise. My Sailor said there was no list for ther division. Please advise how or where my sailor can get my name on a list. Thanks, Dave
So my Sailor has me and my drivers license on a list for base access.
Can someone speculate if I can get on base by myself, assuming my son is at work when the ship is docked?
USS John C Stennis sails home after stopping by Singapore - 07Apr2013...
And please say hello to me and my son. I am 6 10 and my Sailor is 6 7. We will be back and forth up and down on the hanger bay. (Berthing to job site)
Remember we will stand in long lines for each meal so be prepared, and with the air wing we're looking at 30 minutes+
just remember when on the boat wash your hands all the time there's hand sanitizers every where when you see one use it :) its the best insurance to not get the double dragon
