Does anybody know if there is a shuttle from the Residence Inn to base or would it be easier to drive? Should I plan on arriving at 6:30?

Steve, I don't know if they still do it, but when I was in and going back to WWII, Navy beans were served with Sunday breakfast as a tradition. I'm not saying that a lot of them were consumed at breakfast, but they were there!

Stephanie, using the link Frank posted, you can click on the drop-down menu at the top of the page for Family. There is a Family Guide that you can download that has lots of good info in it. I would recommend reading all of those drop downs.

Stephanie, kids under 12 don't need tickets. They probably still need to be on the list though.

Okay so I have a question if anybody can answer it, it would be great, not sure when my husband can get back to me. So, does anyone know if kids need tickets also to get in the graduation ceremony?

Steve,So this is how the Navy makes beans? Now I know ! I think the Navy gave the bone to the Coast Guard after cutting all the ham off! I don't recall much meat in Coast Guard beans. Still, I love them though. Great on a cold,wet winter day. Thanks

Is this what the recruits eat 3 times a day, along with grog?
PRESSURE COOKER NAVY BEAN SOUP
>1 pound navy beans
>2 TBSP olive oil
>3 minced garlic cloves
>1 large onion chopped
>1 ham bone plus left over ham chopped
>1 carrot chopped
>1 celery stalk chopped
>8 cups chicken stock
>
>RIVELS
>1 cup flour
>1 egg
>salt and pepper to taste

>Rinse beans and use the quick soak (bring water to boil, add beans and

Carlos, I ran your first post through the Google translator, and got total junk. Not that you said junk, but that Google isn't set up to translate conversations, I guess. It didn't make any sense at all. Thought I'd be a smarty, but that sure didn't work out.

Carlos, Thanks for the translation - I personally do not speak spanish, and if there was any questions we can help with, it would have been hard for us to help answer ~ welcome to the group. What Ship / Division is your son in? Does he have his PIR yet?
